Question on the ISU-Iowa game TV in central Iowa

Need some help. I'll be down in Iowa celebrating my folks' 40th anniversary the same weekend as the Iowa game. As my entire family are all ISU grads (who grew up in Hawkeye country, no less) I want to make sure we can watch the game. So, I have some questions.

What TV/cable providers in central Iowa (Ankeny/Polk City area) carry the Big Ten Network, and is it part of their basic package or is an additional package required? Are there any options other than Big Ten Network for watching the game? I’m fairly certain I’m safe in assuming it won’t be cyclones.tv.

I’d like to avoid going to a gamewatch in some restaurant if possible, as we’ll have 8 kids under 10, but I want to be armed with enough info to figure out which sister I should convince to host and what our options are.

Almost every Iowa cable provider will have the BTN. BTN forced providers to provide it on their family cable package so as long as they have regular cable, you should be fine. If your family only has the basic cable which is only the mainline networks you probably won't get it.
“I told you, I don’t care if you’re black or white. I don’t care if you’re rich or poor. I don’t care where you come from, whether it’s Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I don’t care about any of that… But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

Both Mediacom's and Direct TV's basic packages include the BTN. So as long as they are not using bunny ears or a TV that wont go past Channel 36, you will be fine
