3rd, I don't think Richardson is completely out of the picture. If that's true, Rhoads might be waiting to see if he can step ahead of Jantz and Barnett.
I think Rhoads has his likely starter picked, but he isn't revealing it to the media yet my concern is that they all look bad and he doesn't know what to do.

Maybe this added stress to all of them is a well conceived plan by CPR to find the guy to lead us this season.

So I'm guessing he looks over tape Saturday night and names the starter Monday.

Re: Rhoads does not plan on making QB decision this Saturday
A QB competition that goes this long usually means you don't have a good QB otherwise there would have been someone picked by now.

Re: Rhoads does not plan on making QB decision this Saturday
Start Steele and run more than we did last year. Don't just put the ball in his hands as much this year and ease him into it. The better he does the more throws you can give him.

Re: Rhoads does not plan on making QB decision this Saturday
How often do QB competitions not last this long into camp? Seems like every instance I can think of it goes until the end unless you have your starter from last year returning, in which case there isn't a competition.

Re: Rhoads does not plan on making QB decision this Saturday
I am just finding it hard to get excited for a guy who has gone 0/4 with 3 INTs in the first 3 drives of a game. That's pretty much it.

Some find it hard to get excited about Barnett, too. It's Rhoads' choice and we are all going to have to live with it. I just hope none of us have a pissy fit when the player we wanted doesn't get the nod. I'd like Jantz to get it because of Seniority, Arm strength and how good he is at making big time plays. But in no way am I going to have a pissy fit if Barnett wins the job. I like Barnett and what he brings also.

Well when you think about that game and it gets you down, put in the Iowa game and it will make you feel better. Or the 2nd half of the UNI game.

I think we could actually say Tiller was a freshman against Nebby when we won also.....

I don't want to hear the 'he's never played QB' comment anymore
