Did anyone see the CFN.com ranking??? They actually have us above Iowa, after the possible injury to Hill narrowing their backfield to 4, makes you wonder if the curse will continue?????

I find it interesting that they also have us ranked higher than Baylor and only 1 behind TTech.

#48 ISU is ranked above the following 2012 opponents:

#75 Tulsa
#74 Kansas
#56 Iowa
#50 Baylor

TTech is #47

Western Illinios is D-II and went 2-9 last year.

If ISU truly is better than all of these and Texas Tech's weakness is D against the run game, I'd say that's 6 wins right there.

However, Tulsa is on the Upset Alert list and Texas Tech is on the Teams that will Surpise list. To even this out some, ISU is on the Programs on the Rise list. Will get interesting:

If you look at the actual picks for the year, They have us going 6-6 and 4-5 in the conference, with wins over Baylor, k-state, KU and West Virginia. As well as 2-1 in on-conference.

and 6th in the Big 12. They also have ISU losing to Tech, but beating WV.

Multiple writers handle multiple areas, sometimes predictions are not in-line......

After seeing both Tech and ISU at 6-6 with ISU's last game a projected win over WVU and Tech's last two games losses, I guess I'd choose ISU over Tech but when it's about number of fans going to the game, maybe they think Tech will travel better.

I like this analysis. Now we just need to figure out who to upset this year so Paul Rhoads can get a 7-5 regular season under his belt.

WVU 'the upset' with the current prediction.... Phone more would add to the enjoyment, but out of the predicted loses, I could see W from Texas Tech and Iowa....
