Stuff to perhaps ponder
I thought since we are going to be a run first team, it would be interesting to see what teams defenses were like like year against the run.
Texas Tech allowed 264.8 yards a game while playing on the road.
Kansas allowed 202.4 yards a game at home.
Texas allowed 73.5 yards a game at home.
TCU allowed 112.2 yards a game at home.
WVU allowed 181.2 yards a game on the road.
Oklahoma allowed 124.9 yards a game on the road.
OSU allowed 143.7 yards a game at home.
Baylor allowed 221.2 yards a game on the road.
KSU allowed 121.2 yards a game on the road. They are also the only team to allow more yards at home than on the road.
Tulsa allowed 135.9 yards a game on the road but this is mainly against C-USA teams. Against BCS teams they allowed 246 against OU and 174 against OSU.
Iowa allowed 141.3 yards a game at home.
Iowa has 6 guys who started on defense last year.
Baylor returns 8.
TCU returns 7.
Texas returns 7.
KSU returns 6.
WVU returns 7.
OSU returns 8.
OU returns 7.
Tech returns 10.
I couldn't find info for KU and Tulsa.
Anyways, its still preseason and I have little to do.
