Well deserved for the best AD in at least the Big 12 if not the nation. I'm assuming that a very nice raise was included in that extension. We have to keep our great people to keep our successes going and increasing!

Re: Pollard Extension
So anyone know where this takes him too? Was his contract done this year or next? 2017-2018? Beyond that?

Re: Pollard Extension
This is great news for the future of Iowa State Athletics. I hope his vision for Iowa State continues to come to reality.

-And congrats to Jamie. He's earned it. I rotate through a series of dives, but the one I had in mind is across the Potomac ocean in Virginia and offers $2 Yuengling drafts at happy hour (I think it's actually all domestics, but I always opt for the Yuengling).

Re: Pollard Extension
His last extension took him through 2014, therefore his current extension should take him through 2019.

Re: Pollard Extension
ISU is indeed fortunate to retain Jamie's services given his accomplishments. He is the best AD since Gene Smith (now with tOSU). All of his coaching hires have been home runs. I include Greg McDermott in that, since he has proven himself again at Creighton. The Wayne Morgan firing created a transfer outflux that would not subside until being doused by coach Hoiberg's transfer influx.
Two coaches who left within a few years, Gene Chizik and Cael Sanderson, left for millions more elsewhere and won National Championships within 2 years. Did he shoot to high there? I figure there was no down side. Since those guys left for bigger and better things, it just added cache to the coaching vacations left behind. In light of that, ISU is even more fortunate that coach Rhoads is staying put. He could easily have written his own check at any number of the high profile openings that came available in the past year.
