Who. Freaking. Cares.
Sorry. I don't obsess over what Iowa fans think.
If we win 7 games with our schedule it would be far from mediocrity. Now I can see his point about Iowa be mediocre with the BIG being so weak.
I can remember being way less than confident in 2007 and last year before the Iowa game and left the games happy. So I won't be getting cocky about the game before it's played out. I know we can do it and win, but know that in this rivalry anything can happen.
I think I'd be a lot less confident right now than I am if I was a Squawk fan
That guy is not an Iowa fan.
Iowa is a fundamentally sound team, especially on defense. As long as we play smart on offense and our d-line plays physical I like our chances.
Iowa should get to 8 wins at least, their schedule is cake.
We don't know how well Iowa plays at home, nor do we know how we play on the road. History can give us statistics, but neither team is now what they were even three years ago. I'll probably predict a Cyclone victory, but anything can happen in this game, good or bad.
That is not an Iowa fan, its a troller. I think that Iowa has some major issues that they can fix, what they are running up against is a learning curve. I think it takes awhile for an Offense to learn a new scheme, even if it isn't a major change. I also see alot of youth on their roster, it may pay dividends down the road, but for this game I think they are out gunned. Next year who knows.
But it is pathetic that Jon Miller is on Hawkeye Nation telling all the little hawksters out there that he heard from Ed Podalack that NIU is the toughest Defense Iowa will play ALL YEAR??? NIU??? If that is the case the BIG10 has sunken to a pathetic level of Defense. That is just drinking way too much Kool Aid for me. That would be the equivalent of Chris Williams telling us (IF we barely beat Tulsa), that he heard from John Walters that Tulsa would be the most difficult spread offense we would face this year. I would instantly cry - BS.
