He played like a MAN today! The twins were good as always bu JG stepped up HUGE when we really needed him and we knew Iowa was going to try and run it up the gut.
Another shout out to Jake McDonough! He pushed the Iowa OL around on multiple occasions.
Let's talk about the positives today rather than worrying about Steele and the offense ok!
George is a VERY good linebacker. I think he'll get some kind of all-conference honor next year, he has the potential to even be 1st team. He and Jevohn Miller will really shine with Knott and Klein gone.
McDonough and the D-Line played very well. You just don't notice any real step down when the 2nd or 3rd wave come in. I don't think I'd realized this before, but we start 9 Srs and 2 Jrs on defense. I think it has the potential to be the best defense in modern ISU history.
This guy is showin' the stuff that CPR has always said about him. Way to go J. George! Keep playing good D!

We are definitely experienced on defense. It was great to see George, Irving, and Morrissey carry the trophy off the field. Those guys are going to be huge for our D next year.Quote:
