Western Illinois preview of us

Re: Western Illinois preview of us
I havent seen any preview of WIU, it appears that are somewhat kHawk like as their head coach is from Iowa Chity. They run more than pass, that will not be very easy for them, thankfully. Looking forward to dominating them.

I saw on there that they played Missouri last year. Missouri won 69-0. Unfortunately, we didn't fare much better against Missouri...

I learned from that link that they played Mizzou last year and lost 69-0.
And that they lost 2 injured senior defensive starters for the season in their first two games.

Re: Western Illinois preview of us
Lucky we play WIU this week and not UNI as the Iowa Superbowl will literally be a barnburner.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

Re: Western Illinois preview of us
Quite frankly, this game scares the crap out of me. Big, emotional win last week, bye week coming next week, has all the makings of a trap game. I would not be surprised at all to see a sloppy game by ISU. Anybody else feel this way? Hope I'm wrong.

Are they Marines or something? Their logo is a Marine logo, and Leathernecks is a Marine nickname, and so is Devil Dogs (they have a dog in the middle instead of the world).
Their volleyball team looks ugly enough to be Marines: http://www.goleathernecks.com/Splash...H_AD_ID=631716
One of them looks pregnant.

One of them looks pregnant. As I recall they are the only college in the US that has Department of the Navy permission to use Marine Corps insignia and mascots. They started calling themselves the Leathernecks (leatherneck is a nickname for a marine) in honor of the Marine Corps. Twenty years ago only the men's teams were the Leathernecks - the women's teams were the Westerwinds. I think I've heard they got rid of that nickname.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr -

More along the lines of "Holy crap we got some work to do in practice - now let's make a statement this week!".
I wouldn't be surprised to see 45-0 or higher. Their best tackler has 10.5 tackles for the year. 2 of our guys (Broomfield and Klein) had nearly that many in ONE GAME.
Good for the leathernecks to get some exposure. But I don't see their O-fer record against the Big XII changing on Saturday.

We very well may play like **** but this team is so outmatched that it would take the most incredible set of circumstances to lose.

I'm stretching a lot this week in case I get a carry.
I've also reserved an ambulance if it goes badly for me. I'm assuming that it won't matter. They won't want to hit anybody by the time I get in there.
