We shall see. My info comes from my buddy that is in charge of academics and health related behaviors (such as diet/sleep) of football players. He says the local media is beginning to turn on Chizik, as are the alumni/boosters. An AD that comes out and says "firmly entrenched" is one that is not firmly entrenched and is receiving criticism. The only saving grace for Chizik is the recruiting class he has coming in (e.g., Reuben Foster). But, how many more blow-outs do you think they can handle at the hands of Alabama/LSU/Georgia???

At Auburn, going to a bowl game isn't enough. He will survive this season, but there will be rumblings in the off-season about his job status. He may get one more year after this one, but the pressure is being placed on the leader of "the plainsman".

How funny would it be if JP called him right after he was fired and offered him a coordinator job. I would do it for laughs if i was JP

Thats a pretty specific job responsibility, your "friend" might not appreciate that even if youre just messing w/ us.

No worries, you will not find my friend. He (and myself) are not employed by the athletic department, but work with athletes quite often. Football is 24/7 at Auburn and this "information" can be heard anywhere on campus. This isn't inside information here, it is a way of life. It just sucks that I have to live down here while Chizik is here. It makes me sick. Maybe if the Chiz is gone, I can actually like Auburn (so I'm hoping).

Hahahaha! Bobby Petrino in the deep "dirty" would be hilarious! Religious conservativism is an understatement here. In this state, it is illegal to give your teacher more than a coffee mug for christmas and punishable by 1 year in prison. Alabama has it's own version of prop 9. I don't think it would go over well down here to have a cheating coach...oh wait, they did hire Chizik. Zing!

You may want to look up were the phrase "firmly entrenched" comes from.

Wasn't Chizik firmly entrenched at ISU days before he gave the infamous 30 second goodbye speech to the ISU football team?

Re: How much longer will Chizik last at Auburn

Finebaum today has been an Auburn/Chizik hate fest. If they lose to ULM this weekend, I expect his house to be torched. Still alot of Chizik fans, but the tide for him is turning quickly and CPR and his success is mentioned frequently not as a replacement, but as an example of how bad of a coach chiz actually is.

Finebaum has a stream as well online, it's a great listen if you do not mind the pro-bama and SEC is the greatest talk during the show. Beats the heck out of alternatives at this time of day.

Auburn can fire him and then take Art Briles away from Baylor. Then in a couple years when the sanctions hit, Baylor can be an easy win for us again for a decade.
This signature has received the stamp of disapproval from that one guy.

So you have 7 posts, all but one in this thread. You mention being 'down there' and posting supposed inside info. Starting to wonder why you ended up on an ISU message board talking about Chizik....

Lets just say i hope that CPR learned during his stint down there that its a mess that he's better off not getting involved in. Though at the same time getting fired and walking off with millions isn't a bad deal either.

I think Chizik makes it through this year, but after next year he's probably canned.
