It already take 300 gallons to paint the field.
Every spot covered by non-white paint = dead grass.
Leave endzones the same. Put Big XII logo on field and call it good. I like the green endzones looks simple.

Disagree with the OP. The endzones are freaking perfect as they are. Very traditional looking. Love 'em.
Also, for some reason I like that the Big 12 logo is not on the field. We have beautiful grass and we don't need them on the 25 yard lines.... just a clean/traditional look we have going. Now if we had to put it/them somewhere what about paited on the grass directly behind the goal posts. (Somewhat out of view, but they would be there.)

No way could a single row of corn make it through even a single game-much less survive the wind tunnel effect of JTS all summer long.
I think there are certain dyes or pigments in the colored paints that kill the grass. If you're down on the field at any point, especially later in the season (or in the spring), you can see that the red/gold grass is shorter/deader than the white areas.Quote:
