QB Sam; 2013 Linebackers

I was disappointed that the WIU game highlights at cyclones.com revealed almost nothing about how rfr quarterback Sam Richardson played last night. Wanted to watch him on his scoring drive. Anyone know of highlights that include a good look at Sam?

So, we've got just six scholarship linebackers returning for 2013? (Including DB/LB Deon Broomfield.) My question. Does anyone have any information about the non-scholarship guys, might some of them be expected to develop and play?

Looks like we can expect one, at least, December JUCO linebacker grad to sign up and be here for spring ball. At least, you'd think that's what the staff would want.

Not really worried about the lb's. Jake and aj are great and will be missed but George and broomfield already start and morgan started at the beginning of the year last year. Miller will be solid and I think darius white is gonna be really really good once he gets his shot. The group won't be one of the best in the country like they are now but they will still be a good unit, just not alot of depth.

Correct. I don't believe he ever threw it. Did make a nice run on the QB choice though.

They ran zone read on evey play SR was in, he handed to Standard a few times and kept a couple. Looked good and shifty running. The star of the backups was clearly Nealy, impressive.

Correct. They ran the ball every play that Sam Richardson was in there at QB. It should be noted, at least, that SR kept the ball and ran it twice. He gained 25 yards on those two carries. I thought he looked fairly quick on his two runs.

Though Sam only did zone read, he made the correct read every play. Kept it when he should have and handed off at the right times. I was very pleased with this.

Seems like Miller has fallen on the LB's list...3rd team? I thought the coaching staff was high on this kid.

Guess I was hoping to see Sam's runs after hearing the radio play-by-play.

Another quibble, personally, I'd prefer to see the majority of video highlights from on high rather than ground level. Maybe others don't. JMHO.

SR had two carries for 25 yards. I believe Miller is hurt.
