The suggestions for the scoreboard operator thread
I have a few. JFC, don't play a single song by Neal Diamond until the game is iced. Last night "it" was played between the third and fourth quarter.
Turn the volume down. You're trying too hard and your sound is distorting badly. Kind of defeats the purpose of spending all of that money on those speakers, to get crap out of them.
I have finally seen the value of playing (c)rap during the game. It appeals to the under 30 crowd and it is kinda inspiring at times. But, how about the rest of us. There are classics that are known to the young fans that would really fire up the majority of fans, you know, the ones who pay most of the bills. Many songs by Steppenwolf would fit the bill like MAGIC CARPET RIDE when ISU is pulling away a little, or even better STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN when we are really rallying or doing well. The place would rock. Classic songs to get people in the right mood by the Beatles or perhaps the Rolling Stones would fit the bill.
One of the three songs that we were supposed to vote on the other day was Miley Cyrus. I mean come on. Was that a football game or a bubble game convention?
Your suggestions.

I'm confused. The game wasn't iced after the third? I personally, feel it was iced when the teams stepped on the field.

Everything about this thread is awful, your ideas are bad and you should feel bad.
Re: The suggestions for the scoreboard operator thread
I know I'm not the only one still bitter that they didn't play "Friday" by Rebecca Black on the night we played Okie State.

Pretty sure the loudest the fans got was during the singing of Sweet Caroline. Used to hate it...love it now. It's unique and gets the majority of fans involved/intersted.

Not sure if trolling or not...
"Sweet Caroline" is always played between the 3rd and 4th quarters when Iowa State is winning or tied. "Living on a Prayer" is played when ISU is losing.

Still hate it. Has no place in a football stadium, but we've debated this ad nauseum before.
The best was when they used to play it while our guys were desperately clinging to a one score lead or getting flat out dominated.
Re: The suggestions for the scoreboard operator thread
Timing for Caroline was fine.
I'm an old fogey when it comes to music taste, but Stairway is an awful idea.
Re: The suggestions for the scoreboard operator thread
Can we hire Deadmau5. I'd like to see those mouse ears silhouetted on top of the board.
Seriously...is the operator a professional in this type of work or just some student? It's not good if the players are complaining.

Beautiful song anywhere besides a football game
