Pompey?
No to start any conspiracy theories, but I was looking at the participation report for W. Ill game, and didn't see Quinton Pompey listed. Is he injured again? I know I saw him play in the Spring game. Also not sure if I saw Tad Ecby listed--my eyes aren't so good...

Re: Pompey?
Krick got in at DT, but Pompey didn't. Ecby didn't play either. I'm really curious to hear how Pompey is looking after recovering from the knee. Whether he is just too raw still, or if he hasn't gotten back to where he was pre-injury.

Don't know if that was accurate or not.

Re: Pompey?
Isn't he redshirting this year, or was that last year?

I know that we went 12 deep on the DL, and CPR said later that "every player who traveled to the hotel" played, whatever that means.

Re: Pompey?
I have no idea how he's progressing but if he didn't play, remember we go 12+ deep right now and all of them are older than he is. You can only travel so many and 3 at ever spot is too many. Like I said, I have no clue on him but this isn't two years ago where a warm body could find time at DT.

Re: Pompey?
Interestingly, Pompey was listed in the participation report for the Tulsa game.

Re: Pompey?
Ecby played. Watch the last series of the game. Walters not only mentions him specifically but you can see him blocking for Standard on the TD run.

Each game home and away there is the "travel squad" that consists of 70 players. Usually (unless it might be a 70 - 0 blowout) only those 70 will see the field. The main reason being is that they are the only ones that actually prepared for the team they are playing, the remaining 56 players are on scout team running the opponents plays and most likely don't have any clue as to the game plan.
Yes Tad Ecby was in on the series with Richardson.
I was impressed with how big Daniels was, I see a hybrid WR/TE in him.

Re: Pompey?
I'm not sure why, but we have seen a lot of omissions in the participation reports.
"There are five real good recruits in the state. We got three of them. One couldn’t get into school, and the other went to (the University of) Iowa...which is about the same thing." - Coach Johnny Orr
