1) 63 total wins with a net difference of 34 points or more
2) Just over 1/10 of those have come since the Big 12 was formed.
3) 29 of those came before the end of WWI and only two of those are teams that are currently FBS. Football was different back then but I still image that Eldora Iowa and Iowa State were on completely different levels.
4) For comparison, Iowa has 56 games where they scored at least 50 points and beat their opponent by 34+ in that same span... I'd gather they have a lot more but I don't want to look through their whole history and account for them winning while scoring between 34-49 points. (The have had 8 games where they won by at least 34 but scored less than 50 since 2005)
5) Not in this but still depressing: We have scored 50+ points ONLY 29 times in our history and only twice since 2000 (Tex Tech in 2010 and Tenn Tech in 2002)
6) Fact: We have lost every game where our opponents scored more points than us :rolleyes:

Not to hijack the thread, but how did Mac go from five 40+ point wins in '01 and '02 to a 2-10 stinker in '03? Unreal.

Well they did manage to win 4 games and tie another that season (against 6 losses). They also managed to beat 2 Big 8 teams. Not very good, but it isn't like they were O-fer that year.

Thanks for the compilation and this is the cold hard facts I presumed.

I don't think most of our new followers realize in the last 50-years we are probably one of the bottom 15 teams in the history of D1 Collegiate Football.

Yet After 37-years, I still get jacked up, but realistically I doubt I'll see my 'Clones in a Jan Bowl Game.

Geesh, I must have glossed over 2001 ... I also didn't use UL-Monroe in '80 because of its current status as FBS -- but I should have included it. Thanks.

The one statistic that correlates to wins better than any other, be it rushing, passing, total offense, total defense, scoring defense, etc, is wins over the previous 4 seasons. The best predictor of future wins in all of college football is past wins.

Perhaps, but the other 46 years means very, very little in regards to determining future success.
