99.9 % chance. Well if you don't know you dont know.

Re: Rodney Coe
Raised by his grandma? Doesn't that make him a weakling?

Re: Rodney Coe
99.9% does not equal 100%. Figure it out, dude. It's a privilege to play for Coach Rhoads.

Re: Rodney Coe
Not sure on this one......did Iowa totally back off the kid? If so, why?

Re: Rodney Coe
99%?
Why even bother ******* with us if you don't just pull the trigger. Come on Coe, be a part of something great or not. **** or get off the pot.

Re: Rodney Coe
I'm just spit balling but this may not have to do with him being sold or not. There could be other things like waiting on some grades or something before we sign him up. I have no inside info or anything but guys typically don't talk in percentages like he did if he isn't sold on the program. If he was just favoring us, I don't think he would have put it like he did.

Re: Rodney Coe
Aren't we running out of scholarships? And wasn't there a rumor/thread that he wanted to commit a while back? And from the article, it sounds like he wants to visit but nothing has been set up.
I am just spit-balling here, but I wonder if his offer is conditional at this point time. Maybe he is 99.9% sure he will be allowed to commit, not 99.9% sure that Iowa State is for him.
Just a guess. I don't really know.
Edit: ^^^ What Tre said.

Originally Posted by vortex Not sure on this one......did Iowa totally back off the kid? If so, why? Yeah, he failed to qualify, which hurt, as he was a pretty good looking recruit. He went JUCO and came in heavier than expected. Iowa told him they wanted him at dline and he said he was playing running back. He really bashed on Iowa and some fans on twitter (they bashed him too). Iowa seemed to back off because they don't like his work ethic. He had his chance the first time and wasted it, so it wouldn't be worth it for them to try that route again. It seems like interest has cooled on both sides.
He is a good player. If he can keep his grades up and his mind on football, he'd be a hell of a pickup for Rhoads.

Re: Rodney Coe
The more I think about this, the more I'm not real sure if Coe is a huge need. I think Maggitt will get a medical and be back again next year so we only lose Nelson this year and Scott next year. We have some bodies at the position now to so I'm not sure if there is a scholarship budgeted for a risky guy at the position. In all honesty, I'm just not sure if he's a great use of a scholly if there are other options.
