KSU's blocking is phenomenal. They are the best I've seen this year at getting a hat on a hat. Well, at least they were last night.

Re: What we should have learned from KSU - OU

What I gained from that game is either K-State is a lot better than I've been giving them credit for or Oklahoma isn't nearly as good as has been hyped - perhaps a combination of both. In any case, yesterday was the first time this year K-State has earned my respect.

As far as this Texas Tech thing goes, I don't know how in one breath people can be saying that TT isn't getting enough respect and then in the next breath that we can't wait to get K-State at JTS. I'm not saying TT isn't better, but in regards to ISU football people act like ISU is in a vacuum and our competition improves every year around us, which simply isn't true. ISU has improved, too. Our defense is among the best in the league, and while TT has one of the best offenses in the nation, they have played NOBODY so far this year. Perhaps TT will win, but I'm not going to christen them "back" until they've earned it. And to this point it's only been the same talk that has been spoken the last two years, talk which was ended both times with a humiliating loss to ISU.

I learned that Phil steele is a bigger moron than I previously thought. Picking k state and I state to go 2-7 and 1-8 respectively in the league.

Most of us have known that for years. You live, you learn, you get Luvs.

I wish that Jantz/JB/Richardson would step up like Klein has. If one of their games can come together really strong, like a Klein, I think we'd have the whole recipe. The QB position is really the only piece remaining that keeps us from running the board.

He'd end up being a backup to Mark Sanchez?

Re: What we should have learned from KSU - OU

KSU converted 3 turnovers into 17 of their 24 points and only won by 5 points. I did feel they matched up fairly well with OU, but without those 3 turnovers, OU wins and possibly handily. Fairly sure OU will not give us the same opportunity. If you limit KSU's defense from getting valuable turnovers, you can keep KSU's offense in check. Won't stop it but I don't see a real quick strike capability to roll up the points. It's their defense that really is scoring their points.

Turnovers are part of the game. Coaches coach players how to strip balls and to be in position defensively to capitalize. They aren't flukes. They happen because they are well coached. I hate when people say "if it weren't for the turnovers Team A would have won".

Disagree, many TO's come down to how a ball bounces/luck.

Correct, but creating the opportunity is as much to do with coaching as it does luck/flukes.
