I see the polls as quite a bit removed from the betting lines. My post was more about why the Tech fans are so excited about the improvement of their team when the polls aren't, even though they have big wins over creampuffs. This seems to cut through all the biased fan crap on both sides. Clearly the pollsters see us as significantly improved from last year, but not Tech. In fact, you might be able to make a case that they see Tech as having declined.

Unlike the pollsters, Tech fans have witnessed the night-and-day difference between our first 3 games last season and this season. Last year, Tech struggled against the creampuffs on both offense and defense. This season, Tech rolled them like a turbo-charged donkey punching machine. One other thing nobody has mentioned, last season Tech's o-line was transitioning from man to a zone-blocking scheme and the learning curve was steep. I'm not sure, but typically, you use only the years the benefit your arguement and make your opponents look silly.

Generally recent history is my go to move. Ancient history...not so much. 2 full years plus this season so far was easily accessible. I thought it enveloped the recent trend in Iowa City. You may heave heard about said trend.

Interesting, I would have thought that would have been much higher. Given they were coming off a huge win and we had lost the 4 games before by at least 16 points.
