Re: Anybody else worried that this is like deja vu all over again?
in this in this game. I think we will I think we will be okay. The big question mark obviously is our offense. If they can pick up the pace it should be a W.

I'm really tired of this mentality. Not least, this is a very different team from a year ago.
CPR wants to change the culture of the program, this kind of mindset is part of it.

Texas last year>Texas Tech this year

Re: Anybody else worried that this is like deja vu all over again?
No. These guys will be ready to go. We shot ourselves in the football 4 times right out of the gate in that game. This wont happen. Plus we are better team than last year and Texas has 10 times the players that Texas Tech has. The margin for error again Texas is a lot less than Texas Tech.

I'm worried in the fact that it's a Big 12 game, so that's rarely a guaranteed W, no matter the circumstances. That said, I'm much more confident going into conference play this year than last year because of how we have won (good offense other than redzone turnovers against Iowa, great defense).

You know at some point we must feel confident that we can win games in the B12. We have our best defense since 2005. We expect our qb to step it up. Really, this is only TT that we are playing and it should be a good game.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: Anybody else worried that this is like deja vu all over again?
Texas last year (and probably this year) was a bad match up for us. Tech doesn't have that kind of defense, and they have the kind of offense that Rhoads and Burnham have had success with.
If we play more disciplined ball than Tech, we'll win. We had a complete disciplinary meltdown against Texas last year and it absolutely killed us.

Yes. We are on the verge of getting respect. Which means we are due for a Cyclone letdown.

It's time we stop worrying about games like this. We need to start believing in our guys/program. I know thats me being very optimistic but its time. I worry but that worry will be long gone when that ball is placed on the tee at 6pm Saturday night. Jack's going to be rocking and the goosebumps will be inevitable. Cyclone Nation 32 Red Raiders 24

I have been burned too many times by ISU footballl to believe. Not saying that cannot change but they will need to prove it on the field multiple times

Kind of tired of these treads. Yes, TT may beat ISU. On paper they look pretty impressive, but they looked pretty impressive beating OU last year, and that ISU TT game was even worse than the score indicated.
CPR spoke about the poor showing in the UT game after the break last year, and how he planned to address this bye week differently.
The turnovers have been pretty alarming, but one was a bad call, and two were made by the backup quarterback against a really bad team. It would be great if the defense would take a few away to balance things out. They did have their hands on 11 Iowa passes so there is hope that this will turn around.

I believe in the team but not at all in the ball security.

I think isu beats tt, but then I think we will have major problems with tcu, they are so fast, I just think our clones will struggle in the tcu game
