Northwestern is going to be much better than the number 6 Big 10 team this year.

My thoughts as well. The Big 10 is absolutely horrible and Northwestern at least has a pulse.

Yep. Can't wait to see who gets offered up as the sacrifice for the Rose Bowl. Oregon or USC thumping (pick any B10 team except tOSU) ought to be a New Year's Day highlight.

    Re: Week 4 bowl projections

I'd be surprised to see a bowl in Houston pass up Texas Tech, if available. With Dallas nearby, and, our largest alumni base in Texas, Tech would have a great showing.

ttraiderbacker.. maybe TT (or ISU) will not be available by the time that pick comes. you never know.

Similarly, to the comment above about Northwestern being the #6 big10 choice, who is to say they wont be higher??

Yep, you never know. If both teams are still available, I would just find it hard to think a bowl in Houston would pick ISU over Tech...given everything being equal (W/L record, availability, etc.).

My thoughts exactly. As bad as the Big 10 is this year I wouldn't be surprised to see them in the Capital One Bowl.

A couple of guys from ESPN are predicting ISU to take Navy's place in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Mark Schlaback has ISU vs. Washington and Brad Edwards has ISU vs. UCLA.
Do you know why I put up with this 'pitiful job', Mr. Donaghy, why I fetch these folks' lunches and clean up their barfs? Cause they make television. And more then jazz, or musical theater, or morbid obesity, television is the true American artform.

Roundtrip from Omaha to SF has been as low as $234 for the flight.

For convenience factors, I give this one a big YES! Plus we can beat Northwestern as bad as we did when we got our nickname.
