Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Place will be packed. Count on it. ISU just has a lot of procrastinators when it comes to buying tickets, I would expect a lot of walk ups. Announced attendance will be 56,193.

It'd be awesome to get 57,000...if only Jack Trice could hold that.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
again guys, can't have the record because the stadium configuration is different then the year we broke the record against UNI. They took 10 rows of seats out of the West side lower deck. Remember? The best we can hope for is the Iowa crowd from last year.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Well, with all the drought talk, I'm assuming the farmers won't have to be in the fields like they normally would. Since that's the excuse I heard every year since 1975ish, I assume we'll set all kinds of attendance records this year.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Picked up 6 tickets last week. First game of the year for me. It will sell out...

It can be done. JP will keep selling hillside tickets until law enforcement forces him to shut it down.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I seem to remember bleachers of only a few rows going up on the sidelines for big games in the past... do we do that at all anymore? I know we do in the endzone.... could be a way to squeeze a few more in.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
we'll easily pass 56k. The walk up crowds we have been getting have been huge.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Record breaker. I'll guess 57,638, so we can have one more person in JTS than in my hometown (DBQ). I have a hillside ticket, so it will be really cramped but it'd be worth it.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I wonder if some folks think they'll just sit athome and watch the game on their FSN station not realizing that it actually being televised by is the far less available FCS?
Get the word out - Your satellite company/cable company doesn't carry FCS (whether 100% true or not), so buy your tickets now!! :)

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
We were 3-0 last year and playing a sexier team, Texas. Why would we expect more people this Saturday than we had for the TX last year? Just asking for those making the bold predictions.

We keep climbing in attendance. That's the basis. I think it's correct. 55k is not out of line this week, or even higher, if we sold 55.7k for WIU.

I don't know about everyone else, but my bold prediction is based off of the fact that I stopped drinking Kool-Aid and I've just been free-basing it for the past few weeks.
