No flip the question to this: We are now 3-0 and play a sexier team than Western Illinois, why wouldn't we have more people than that?
You don't need to be crazy or bold to predict 56K for this coming game. Just realistic based on the first 2 games.

Hope it will be a sell out. Hope they play the music loud. Need a ton of energy. This is a win this program needs.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
The visitor's section is still 75% unsold. Probably at least 3,000 tickets. I've checked a couple times in the past two weeks and only a few in those sections have been sold. I'd love to see 56,000+, but I don't think we're going to suddenly go from selling <100 tickets a day to 1,000+ per day. I'm sure we'll sell a ton of hillside walkups, but I don't think we'll sell all the reserved. Tulsa and Western had maybe 1,000 unsold reserved at this point.

I think it will be more since we had that large crowd for the Western Illinois game, an FCS opponent, and the fact that we have collectively owned Tech the last two times we have played them. The fact that we had beaten Texas the year prior was one of the large draws to that game last year.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I don't think ISU "sells out" They'll pack more and more on the hills if they have to.

So TTech has an allotment of 3000?
That sure seems like, ahem, a lot.
Is that the usual number or can that number be adjusted?

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
There will be a huge walk up I'm sure.

The Texas game last year.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I am trying to think of reasons why these tickets aren't selling faster.
-game is on tv (sorta)
-harvest in full swing (not much to harvest in general)
-higher ticket prices
I am just struggling to figure this out. Seems like for the Western game we were way ahead of where we are now. I still think we have a good turnout and good atmosphere, but I am disappointed in sales thus far. I was hoping the reserved seats would be gone today or tomorrow, with the hills selling out on Friday or gameday and a crowd like the Texas game last year.

disapointed to say the least.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
We'll get there. It's surprisingly slow, but we've seen this a couple times the last couple of years. We'll still blow the place out.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Do we really have big walk up crowds? I honestly have no idea how many people buy on gameday. I just figured with our attendance improving over the last few years, people didn't want to wait til the last minute to get tickets so they would get them in advance. If there is going to be 35k there like in the past I can understand just walking up and buying that day and getting decent seats. With the way things have been going that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.
