There is 0% chance of rain in the 10 day forcast. I do know there are a few ppl from our tailgate that are going to choose to combine instead of coming to the game but I don't understand it. 2000 acres of beans all ready on the same week coupled with a 70 yr old dad that could care less whether the clones played tech or god himself. Same reason sales people dont take off the last day of the month or accountants in tax season. Our work has consequence.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I'm not worried, I think there has a been a thread like this every week leading up to the game and the place has been packed.
“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.” -

You are spot on with the warm, dry forecast. Which is why a lot of farmers will be staying home to combine beans. If you let them sit out there in this weather too long, they will get too dry, and you will have a lot of harvest loss. 2 bu/ac X $15 per bushel = $30 per acre X 1000 acres......you can see why people stay home.
Also, my dad never left the combine sit to come to a game. That is because he took 3 nights off per week to watch me and my brothers play football. Sorry, but that is more important to him than the Cyclones.

No flip the question to this: We are now 3-0 and play a sexier team than Western Illinois, why wouldn't we have more people than that?
You don't need to be crazy or bold to predict 56K for this coming game. Just realistic based on the first 2 games. I didn't say you had to be crazy. I just said it was bold given a comparison to last year at the same time. Also, Western Illinois game wasn't on TV....you're kidding yourself if you don't think that makes a difference to the fair weather fans.
In the end, I think we have a chance to make a Top 5 attendance number, I just think it is naive to say "it is a given" based on history as recent as last year. That's all.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
Looking at the seating chart on cyclones.com there are thousands and thousands of tickets left for Saturday. This is a HUGE HUGE game. Time to fan up; buy a ticket; show up; and cheer loud!!! Go Cyclones!!!

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
if only 50,000 show up, i doubt it would be that noticeable. Its not like were comparing 70k to 40k.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
I'm guessing 54ish thousand give or take 2k.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
As of this moment, a quick count of the seats remaining shows 3311 reserved seats remaining.
To sell out, we need to sell out these as well as sell out the hillsides, which are still listed as having moderate availability. | Section | Seats remaining | | O | 195 | | | N | 214 | | | M | 420 | | | L | 7 | | | K | 7 | | | J | 295 | | | H | 1121 | | | G | 250 | | | F | 241 | | | D | 187 | | | C | 321 | | | B | 23 | | | A | 4 | | | 16 | 26 | | | Total | 3311 | |

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
The positive news is that KSU looks like it WILL be a sellout. If you know anyone who is thinking about going to that game, get them to buy hillsides as that looks like it is all that is left except for single tickets, and with no other options available i'm sure those hillsides will move quick.
Makes me wish i'd held out for more on stubhub for those.

You should put your tickets, if they're season tickets, on the Ticket Exchange if you can't use them... leave no seat unused.

Re: Will this game be a sellout?
It would be crazy to think anything under 55,000 and a loud crowd for this game. This game is HUGE.
Would be very disappointing too. I'm expecting 56,000...i wont lie.
