My belief is that we have better coaching (better DC, better DB coach, better DL coach, better OL coach) this year than what we have had, really, in the last 4 or 5 years. Tech was at it's pinnacle in coaching when we had Holgorsen, Sonny *****, Art Briles, and Seth Littrell on staff.

Face it, neither team has played even a decent schedule. The Iowa win is getting laughed at more, and more each week. Iowa has at least 5 more losses in them, and maybe more.

Or, how about #18 > #39? (Sagarin Ratings) Or, how about 21 > 26.5? (Median computer ratings combined)

Perhaps you want to read your Sagarin closer:

In ELO_CHESS, only winning and losing matters; the score margin is of no consequence, which makes it very "politically correct". However it is less accurate in its predictions for upcoming games than is the PURE POINTS, in which the score margin is the only thing that matters.
In ELO_CHESS ISU kicks the **** out of Texas Tech - ISU is rated #28, TT is rated 36. But because TT ran up the score against nobodies, they are rated 17 in PURE POINTS versus ISU which is rated 42 because they had closer scores against better competition. In other words, it's skewed as hell.

As far as computer rankings, who gives a ****? Computer rankings this early in the season are meaningless.

If Texas Tech's football was rated on the number of Texas Tech grads that work for Domino's, they'd be #1.

So is the RPI, and that's where RPI comes from...computer rankings. In the computer ranking, 13 computers have Tech in the Top 10...while only 4 have ISU Top 10.

Deviating from original argument focused around strength of previous competition. Position change in argument is immediate sign that original position has failed to present valid counter

Re: Iowa State and Texas Tech Respect

If TT happens to beat us, they'll have earned my respect because we're the first real team that they will have played this year. But until that happens, Tech fans coming here demanding respect their team simply hasn't earned can go **** off.

Ouch, that's about the meanest thing you can say to a red raider (made me laugh though)... Anyways, its seems no one in the big 12-4+2 respects either of our teams, only one way to change that...

Good luck this weekend and I hope one of our teams can take the conference this year. And please beat purple aggie this year, I cant stand those horned frogs...
