Not surprised, but 7 of 8 sportswriters who make the weekly college football picks for the Dallas Morning News are picking Tech over the Clones. More motivation for our guys to wallop the Red Raiders again this year.

Timely. I'm sure CPR was waiting for some Texans' picks to supply some motivation as he has proven time and time again to need all kinds of help in that department.

Would 7 out of 8 Iowa media personalities ever pick ISU to beat any Big 12 team? I think at least 4 of them would probably pick Iowa to win this year's Tech/ISU game.

Of course they would have to be single quotes rather than double quotes.

don't know. All I know is that I don't expect a Texas newspaper to be populated with people who are inclined to pick ISU over Texas Tech.

I know what you mean, but it's an interestingly different dynamic than Iowa. You know Hawkeye leaning writers (meaning most Iowa sports writers) would be climbing all over themselves to pick against ISU in what's basically a toss up game against an out of state team. Yet these Texas writers have a pretty clear chub for every Texas team.
