If you had to pick one...
Other than Steele Jantz, who is the most important, single Cyclone today. For me, it has to be a DE making an impact...early. Irving or Nelson...somebody...has to knock Doege down, hard, early and often. Take the rythym out of that offense.
Thoughts?

#20 is probably the most important Cyclone every game. Without him that D wouldn't be even nearly what it is.

Broomfield or Willie Scott. Broomfield will have to be all over the place today. Willie is the fastest DE, he needs to get there quick and at least apply pressure

Re: If you had to pick one...
The D-line putting pressure (sacking) Doege. If he has all day to throw we're not going to like the outcome IMHO.

Has to come from the LB's. have to hold their run game in check while covering their receivers too.

I don't know about a single player but it has to be either the Dline or secondary

Kicker (Arceo).....no question

Jacques Washington. Been worried about losing Leonard all year and so far it hasn't been a problem, but Tulsa is probably the best passing team we have faced so far. Glad we don't have that Blackmon(sp? Okie State guy) in the league any more.

Re: If you had to pick one...
Its someone on the D line. We know the LB's and secondary are going to be fine. We need someone or the collective line to get some pressure on the QB.

McDonough. I have a feeling he's gonna have a good day.

I don't fixate on Irving a ton, but the guy still looks pretty raw out there. Maybe I'm wrong and someone else can shed more light on watching him more directly than I do.
I think Tech's passing offense is pretty good, but I think its to the Clones benefit to get a good game out of the DL and at least make them one dimensional by shutting down the run with the front 4.
Jake McDonoughs coming out party?

Key to stopping the spread= pressure the qb with the front four. NFL college high school, doesn't matter.

White/Johnson. Solid ground game keeps the Tech offense off the field. Long marches that keep the TOP tipped well in our favor is our best bet. We need a running back to keep the chains moving.
