    Time for a QB change??

Jantz isn't the guy to lead this team. I was wrong, I thought he had more upside than Barnett, but I don't anymore. He is too careless with the football, he can't move the offense consistantly.

He has not been impressive in any game this year. He has moments of brilliance, but cannot put it together for a full game. He has really never played a full 4 quarters of disciplined football in his career at ISU. Barnett knows how to move the chains, he takes what the D gives him. That is what we need right now.

I think we made a mistake, and it is time for a change.

The way the D played today was great, the O should take a long look at themselves.

Jantz gets one more game, only since Seneca is out of eligibility.

I'm not worried about a better QB until we get better OL play, better play calling, and, really, a better offensive scheme.

As far as I'm concerned Messingham might be the first mistake of CPR's tenure.

Re: Time for a QB change??

I don't get why people are throwing the line and OC under the bus. There was 1 pick where Jantz literally threw it to the defense (obvious miscommunication, but who communicates the play? The qb), and 1 play where Jantz had no pressure, still ran out of the pocket and then fumbled the ball dispite not even being touched. 2 turn overs directly due to Jantz. Right now, he is the problem.

Even when people were open and he had time, he still was inaccurate. He was awful. This was easily his worst game.
Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

Re: Time for a QB change??

the thing is, if our defense is what is going to win games for us, then we need a move the chain offense that can limit the amount of time the other teams offense is on the field.

If you think Jantz is the only problem with this offense, then you don't know football. I'm not defending Jantz - I'm saying this offense as a whole is fundamentally flawed.

I agree, the guy just can't get it through his head that sometimes an incomplete pass out of bounds or a 3 yard gain is a good play. He tries to do too much, and the mistakes he makes are too costly.
