We may have a very good defense especially relative to what we're used to at ISU but we aren't "championship" caliber.

We're solid but I'd had to rank us 3rd or 4th in the B12 right now defensively

I agree with the premise of the OP. Everyone should step away from ledge and not have a major meltdown. It's not as if we lost to Central Michigan or someone of that caliber. TT is a decent team. Anyone on here expecting to go undefeated is delusional. While I agree it is a missed opportunity, we will make it up with an upset or two down the road. How about a big upset over TCU on the road?

Well, look at it this way, we're melting down, but at least we're not arguing about how much CPR's contract buyout is, and then doing the 'wailing and the gnashing of the teeth' when we realize what it is, and for how long, because we fell 'in love' when it was really a one night stand.

It's not the loss, I can handle a loss, and almost expected one tonight. 3 in a row against Tech would have been tough to pull off. The problem I have, is the consistent lack of offensive production. It's just so disheartening. In this league, there is no way it looks like we'll win another game with that kind of offense. Our Defense is good, but when they play most of the game, they are going to give up points.

And the kicking game, What The ****? How, at this point, in Div 1 College football, can we not find a kicker who can make and extra ******* point? No matter how many times they suck me into believing things have changed, this kind of game rolls around and I go, "Oh well, classic Cyclones!"

True, but I still don't like the people who are currently saying that our offense is absolutely terrible
