    First down and 18

Can someone explain to me how late in the forth quarter TT ended up in a 1st and 18 situation.

As I saw it a play was run with a gain of 7. There was a PF penelty on the offense.

I'm pretty sure the only options to follow this play are 2nd and 18 if it was during the play or 1st and 25 if it was a dead ball situation.

I must be wrong because I seemed to be the only one in my section yelling about it and the coaching staff didn't have an issue with it either.

Hold 2 yards down the field. No loss of down, just a penalty of 10 yards from spot of foul

That would make sense. I thought it was a PF for some reason.

    Thanks

I believe it was during the course of the play, and not a dead ball foul. Therefore it was 15 from the spot, replay the down.

Not sure what the PF was for though.

No it was in fact a personal foul, it just was not after the play was over.

    Same idea though.

If it was during the play why wouldn't it be 1st and 25. There aren't spot PF's.
