Re: Barnett
I want JB, run based offense, chew clock, and try to let the defense win it. Steele has just been a disaster. He should be playing WR or safety.

Re: Barnett
What exactly is Jantz better at??? Turning the ball over??? I don't think anyone is saying Barnett is a great QB, but I honestly don't think we need a great QB to win this year. We have an elite defense IMO... We just need a guy to move the chains, and not give the ball to the other team.

Um - we tried that tonight. It was a gigantic fail. The defense stacked the box and outside of one drive in the 3rd Quarter we couldn't run the ball at all. I don't disagree that Steele was a disaster, but if thought tonight was bad try running the ball when you have a QB in that isn't a threat to throw the ball whatsoever.

They stacked the box BECAUSE Jantz is no threat to throw the ball whatsoever..

Which is not all on Jantz - not when he's running for his life on every pass play and receivers are once again dropping catchable passes. I'm not arguing Jantz makes terrible decisions - he does. But if you put Barnett out there you might as well hold up a sign in bold letters that says "We don't plan on having a passing offense the rest of the year".

As jdogg pointed out, 3 and outs by running the ball into a defense selling out against the run does not eat the clock. See also game vs Rutgers. And OU.
We could get away with that to some degree when we had KO and Hicks (and Lamaak, Haughton, and Stephens from year's past). Not anymore. To make matters worse, we have an OC trying to run someone else's system.

This throw Richardson out there and let's see what we got.
