Not the real question is are you ******* ********. Did I see Barnett in the WIU game? LOL. Yeah I saw him playing with the 2nd team. I gave that zero credibility, just like your post. Did you see Barnett in the Oklahoma State game last year? Jantz had 3 total passing yards in the 1st half. Against Tech? LOL. Jantz was terrible.

We are average at best across the O-Line right now, no qb in america can consistently be successful if not given enough time to throw the ball, ask Brandon Weeden. Did anyone see the inelligible down-field? not sure how you can have that happen on a quick 5-step drop while everyone is in pass protection, but whatever. The offense got outplayed and you cant put it on 1 guy. Im looking directly at Bliel his O-lines have consistently underperformed even with a starter in the NFL on them. I not a Jantz supporter here but its an offensive problem as a whole.
Didn't Brun make a good catch for the only ISU touchdown? I listened to the game on the radio and it sounded like Brun was doubled covered and took a shot when he fumbled.

    Re: Barnett

Well it starts with coaching, our OC is not good people and the line coach well........................I do not like Jantz's decisions a lot of the time in zone read and stupid mistakes he makes. This offense as a whole is terrible its not just one guy its all of them, but it starts with coaching and I think after this season is over which for me right now cannot come soon enough, go get a REAL OC we got more money to pay to go get a better OC. I have never liked the hire and now it is proving to be a bad one.

For QB I have no idea who would fair better at this point I say none of them especially with this line that cannot block worth **** and the ******* receivers not getting off blocks to get themselves open. Same old **** just another different year with our offensive struggles. We keep doing this with our offense we will never I repeat never make the turn. Oh and another point MAKE A ******* PAT KICK.

I understand the lustful thinking for JB. Damn would it be nice if we just had the wrong guy in there, but the sad reality is our offense is bad. Probably worse with JB.

Jantz threaded a needle to make the completion, but Brun was popped before coming down and the ball flipped to a nearby defender....total fluke. BUT if we dont run routes so near other teamates, that defender is not there.

The Tech secondary mauled us all night. Eventually Jantz had to start putting them into tight spots. It was a great throw...the hit just jarred it loose. If we had won...no one would be talking about that play. Instead...there is post-loss over analysis.

    Re: Barnett

A lot needs to happen for this offense to be productive the rest of the way and it sucks donkey balls because we have a such a good defense. Our offense needs to step up big time to win games you cannot rely on defense to win you games in this league you have to score points and in some games a lot of them (aka the WV-Baylor game.)

This is what I dont understand, why are two receivers constantly in the same place, I have seen it several times the last 3 games. Its like guys are running the same route. It resulted in a turnover against Western Illinois too,

The 7 attempts is what is really terrible.

JB playing with the second team against WIU is a more favorable environment than him playing with the 1st team against TT. TT's defense is better than what JB saw against Ok ST last year (a game where JB had 2 ints, including a pick six, and at least 2 fumbles). Your flawed logic for an excuse is only acceptable coming from his dad.

    Re: Barnett

The logic that Barnett can only be assessed based on his performance against Western Illinois is laughable. He was thrown in the game and saw his first action of the season. Its not like he was going to set the world on fire.

OR....flawed logic could be to put the same turnover machine of a quarterback into an already struggling Offense and expect to see different results.

    Re: Barnett

Maybe Jantz would be better if he had time to let plays develop? Even then when he does he still throws a pick. Ball protection must not be in his playbook. Adjusting to defenses must not be Messinghams play book as well. A lot needs to happen in weeks to come for another victory with this offense, I hope it does.

I agree with you. Nobody is saying Barnett is Tom Brady or anything but he's steadier than Jantz and as a sophomore he actually still has upside. Jantz is what he is at this point.

You are kidding with that right? He under threw the ball into triple coverage, while Jarvis was running free with no one within 10 yards. That was 100% on Steele.

It's not just his passing though. He almost always makes the wrong choice in the zone read.

    Re: Barnett

This is the same team the Barnett beat 41-7 last season. Thats the only argument you need.
