The opposing team offense will sure be confused when our O comes out and lines up to snap the ball. Maybe it will work once to make them call a time out or get a delay of game. I think I'll float that out to the SEP football coach. Not sure if you would get an unsportsmanlike for this or not.

Nailed it. Slow down, buddy. It's a long season.
Re: How to salvage the season
Yeah, let's throw Richardson in against a slew of top 25 teams for his premier. If he was going to be the guy, it had to be at the start of the season before the schedule turned to ****.
Re: How to salvage the season
As is so often true, things are never as good as we think they are, nor are they ever as bad as they appear to be. I stand by my assertion that ISU's entire offense, from scheme to plays to players, is fundamentally flawed. But perhaps Tech's defense is just that good and aren't giving them enough credit. We'll get some perspective next week - TCU had problems with Kansas in all phases of the game, and I assert that we're still better than Kansas in all phases.
Re: How to salvage the season
we can start to worry after next week if necessary.
Re: How to salvage the season
The only way to salvage this thread is to bring back neg rep.

So to save the season we have to bench Steele. If you're asking who to replace him, its not Barnett. If Sam Richardson and Grant Rohach are the QBs of the future, it's time to start them. I don't care if Steele Jantz is practicing better. He sure as **** isn't playing better. Jared Barnett played better than Steele last year with no experience (2 years as a JUCO counts). Sam Richardson CANNOT be worse. How about our Elite 11 QB? He can't be bad at all.
And it's too late to start Cole Netten. Save the redshirt. He will be our greatest kicker ever, but we don't nessecarily need him yet. I'd Arceo misses another PAT, then it's time to bench him.
Paul Rhoads has got to stop being stubborn and BENCH JANTZ.
I'm glad you know so much about how Jantz is clearly the worst of our top four quarterbacks. Have you seen practice and know the playbook, or are you just a psychic? Same thing with Cole Netten being our greatest kicker ever. Tell me, will Tom Farniok be an All-American? Will we build the SEZ this summer? Will the world end tomorrow? You must no the answer to all these based on how you talk.

This IS the correct answer. Spot on! We have plenty of season left. I know we play several top 25 teams, however there's not a huge gap between teams 10 thru 25 in talent. The Cyclones can beat any of those teams on a given night. I no longer look at our schedule and think a particular game is NOT WINNABLE. They are all WINNABLE games and CPR has instilled a never give up, fight to the end mentality in his teams. The Cyclones will be fine, they'll bounce back and quite possibly beat TCU at their place. TCU is not that good, despite their ranking.
Re: How to salvage the season
Ya, I'm ready to play TCU....with a new QB.
Re: How to salvage the season
Wildcat squared with two running backs on the field. Who needs a qb after last night.
