Breakfast/Brunch tailgate ideas
For the K-state game I'm in charge of getting together a breakfast/brunch tailgate for the family, ages 9-70. Other than Breakfast burrito's and bloody mary's what are some other ideas. I will have a grill I can cook on and I'm thinking of buying a griddle surface for half of it.
So please share with me your go to tailgate foods for these early games.
GO CYCLONES!!!
Thanks in advance

It's kind of the easy way out, but I have preordered a few Casey's breakfast pizzas and picked them up on the way to the stadium. I like the breakfast burrito idea too!

Pre cook bacon, sausage, ham. Pre cut mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, etc. Put in individual containers. Bring 3 or so skillets that will work on the grill and let people make their own omeletts.
Steak and eggs is also a good choice.

Re: Breakfast/Brunch tailgate ideas
My wife always pre-cooks homemade sausage mcmuffins with eggs...makes them the night before, throws them in the oven or on the grill wrapped in foil for a few minutes and they melt in your mouth...
I have been known to roll 3 or 4 of them if there aren't enough takers! She makes them for me and golf buddies whenever we have an outing also...

Steak and eggs is also a good choice. Modification on this: crack a couple eggs into a ziploc baggie and add other ingredients (onions, bacon, etc...). Seal ziploc baggie and place in boiling water (can boil in a pot on your grill) for a few minutes. Result is a "walking omlet" akin to a walking taco. Ingredients are fully-customizeable and there's practically no cleanup required.

Take a plastic zip-lock sandwich bag and put 2 eggs and everything else you want in your omelet in it. Drop it in the boiling water and about 3-5 min later you have an omelet. Use a carton of egg whites for people watching their cholesterol.
Couple drink ideas that have gone over well at my tailgates:
Champagne and Orange Juice (Sparkling jucie for those not old enough)
Hot Chocolate and Schnapps or RumChata
The latest and greatest
BananaChata
Ingredients
2 parts RumChata
1 part banana liqueur
1 part caramel vodka
Banana slices
Directions
Shake with ice and pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with a banana slice caramelized with RumChata and brown sugar. -
Re: Breakfast/Brunch tailgate ideas
We have always had a tradition of ordering Casey's breakfast pizza. It is easy, cheap and good. I highly recommend having them cut it into party squares. It makes the pizza go so much further because of it being smaller in size. There is usually between 5 to 8 of us and 2 larges are more than enough to have it for 2 days.
