TCU student section throwing bottles at ISU players
Just curious if anyone who went to the game saw this happen. and I am not talking about the attendance. I sat down there and saw at least 5-6 beers and a couple of water bottles thrown at the ISU players. Last one right before the game ended connected with a ISU player. Absolute disgrace, and I am not a prude by any means. Student Section was a disgrace - Frog Fan Forum - Killer Frogs I don't do signatures. Blondes, brunettes, and red heads are a different story. -

That sucks. They allow beers in the stadium? Was it just me, or did that stadium seem like the emptiest sellout stadium in history?

Looking reasons not to like horny frogs. Hard after shots of the cheer squad but this if true seals the deal.

Eh, students will act like idiots. I have seen my fair share of idiots in the student section at Jack Trice

One important question: Were these full and closed? If so, I got no prollem wit it. If I were on the team, I'd appreciate a beer or a bottle of water after that game.

Havent seen many student sections directly behind the vistors bench though, which I'm surprised they can even do.

Thanks for your take, it happens I guess with a few students, glad it wasn't like the cardinals/braves game last night, hah.

Our students have never done anything like that.... Throwing bottles or oranges or anything....

TCU was bush league when we played them in 2005 as well.

Re: TCU student section throwing bottles at ISU players
I was at the game. The announcer specifically mentioned to the fans not to throw anything on the field.

I presume that's a Big 12 rule that they didn't know about.

Re: TCU student section throwing bottles at ISU players
The fans on the message board do not condone it. One or two dumb***** shouldn't stereotype the whole school and crowd.

Re: TCU student section throwing bottles at ISU players
We all just got home from the game. I have to say that I was very impressed with all of the TCU fans we came in contact with all day. They were great before the game and very gracious after the game. We were in the section with other ISU fans and didn't see any TCU fans being jerks. After the game several of them congratulated us throughout the stadium on our way out. Overall I thought they were pretty good hosts. Not ISU level, but not bad.
