Shut up people!
I can live with these, but there are probably some fairly minor tweaks that could really help us look even better and more modernized.
This is probably the least of my concerns however.
We're on TV more, more people are seeing us on highlights. I would image folks nationwide are recognizing the UNIs as Iowa State. No need to change them. So are we just going to keep chasing what's cool and trendy every three years?
You know what fans and recruits care for? Winning. You win football games, and what do you know, fan support increases while attracting better football recruits. You know what helps overall perception? Winning.Quote:

Let's find stupid stuff to complain about! Yay!

Oregon changes their uniforms every week. Yes, I know they have Nike in their pocket but high school kids love it. There's a reason why even tradition-rich teams like Notre Dame wear alternates.
I know it's not financially feasible but have two or three alternate uniform games per season would be epic.
LSU disagrees with you. Substitute red for purple and it's basically the same jersey. No one complains about LSU not looking "bad ***." They've had the same look for a long time and are generally considered pretty bad ***. Might have something to do with the players wearing them.
These uni's are not bad. SO much better than the ones from the DMac era.
If it was my decision I would go with:
Or at least:
No. Just no.
These uniforms are pretty good, IMO. Especially the white ones. And ISU has changed their unis what, like 4 times in the last 10 years? Stick with what you've got and get some kind of continuity.

Agree. I don't think you'll see Alabama going the glitz route anytime soon either.
Had the matte cardinal helmet idea as well. IMO would look really sharp, fairly cheap in cost, and upgrade the overall look of the uniform. This is #1 on my list of uniform upgrades
I find it amusing that people post on here... who cares, shut up. If you don't care then why read or comment on a post that is clearly about uni's?
The people on this site are entitled to opinions. Whether or not some of you share them, that's ok too. Chill out on telling other members to shut up though.
Why do you think UnderArmor and Nike sell all the accessory items? Do you think having an underarmor logo on a mouthpiece makes you play better? No, it's because people buy it to look good. Why do you think they do these combat uniforms? These companies spend millions of dollars promoting how cool their stuff looks because people want to buy cool stuff. To think that kids, fans, recruits, players, alumni, etc. don't care, or to think uniforms don't matter, then please explain the success of those companies and their excessive marketing spend on looking good. Players have been trying to make themselves look bad *** for years with tape, sweat bands, arm bands, colored gloves, face mask shields, stupid socks, different shoes, etc. etc. etc. the list goes on and on and on and shows to what level the players themselves will go to to look good on the field.
So those that want to hate on a uni thread... just go read another post about how Jantz is still a better QB. That seems SO much more worth while.
BTW, I think our home uni's are good if we get rid of the stripe on the pants. Away uni's are ugly as sin.
Alabama has such a classic uni, I think it would be hard for them to change. There is history in that uni, like Michigan.
