The people on this site are entitled to opinions. Whether or not some of you share them, that's ok too. Chill out on telling other members to shut up though.
Why do you think UnderArmor and Nike sell all the accessory items? Do you think having an underarmor logo on a mouthpiece makes you play better? No, it's because people buy it to look good. Why do you think they do these combat uniforms? These companies spend millions of dollars promoting how cool their stuff looks because people want to buy cool stuff. To think that kids, fans, recruits, players, alumni, etc. don't care, or to think uniforms don't matter, then please explain the success of those companies and their excessive marketing spend on looking good. Players have been trying to make themselves look bad *** for years with tape, sweat bands, arm bands, colored gloves, face mask shields, stupid socks, different shoes, etc. etc. etc. the list goes on and on and on and shows to what level the players themselves will go to to look good on the field.
So those that want to hate on a uni thread... just go read another post about how Jantz is still a better QB. That seems SO much more worth while.
BTW, I think our home uni's are good if we get rid of the stripe on the pants. Away uni's are ugly as sin.
Alabama has such a classic uni, I think it would be hard for them to change. There is history in that uni, like Michigan.
