The running play that got me was, the Aaron Horn around the edge for 25, why was that not Nealy, Johnson, or white???? What was Horn doing in the backfield???? I know it adds a fluke aspect to it but, I want our RB to plug more yrds in.....
You cannot be seriously complaining about the way Horne ran that ball can you? He made several guys miss on that run. You might have a small point by saying it should have been Shontrelle and maybe Nealy but James White doesn't have near the elusiveness as Aaron Horne. Had that gone to White it would not have gained nearly as many yards.
While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”
White avg - 4.8yds/carry against TCU and they were set up to stop the run since we've shown our inability to throw the ball deep up to now.
BTW, for you Jantz supporters that say he would have made those long pass plays too, go back and watch the first 4 games and see how many deep receivers were wide open that he missed by a big margin. He can throw the ball deeper, but has no consistency. I think he would have missed Lenz too, hell, he may have even tucked and run instead of throwing it.
How about we give the defenses we've played the last two weeks some effing credit? I mean, it's not like neither were top 10 defenses statistically when we played them, and people are livid that the last couple of weeks the offenses haven't met their lofty expectations. Well, duh - good defensive lines are going to shut down a running game.
The good news is we shouldn't have to face another top 10 defense the rest of the year, so our running numbers should be better the rest of the way.
Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice? Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.
1st Drive in the 3rd qt of TT, we had success running with quick pitches and planned runs. Then we went back to "zone read" the rest of the game, with no success. Why don't we run more planned runs especially on the jet offense?
