There was another time during the game that he freaked a bit, and he was yelling loud enough that the mic caught what he was saying. It was not pretty.

just wondering since we prefer freddy over mccaffrey in basketball where mccaffrey is the passionate one

No comparison between football and basketball. CFH can protest when the ref goes past him or is standing right beside him. CPR's antics are about the only way to get the referee's attention in football, considering they are about 40 yards away. It's useless to yell at the closest line judge, unless it is for something they called (which is rare).
I just hope he never gets down on his knees in front of the ref and beg for calls like Jim Walden did, shortly before he was let go.
