While it would be great to be ranked, if four years ago you offered me the opportunity to come in at #28 a week into October 2012, I'd take it in a heartbeat.

If you want a team that shouldnt be ranked its Boise State. After losing to a not that great MSU team, and that awful, awful game they played against BYU a few weeks ago (even though they came out with a win) they dont deserve to be ranked just because they beat a few sub-100 teams.

I'm not sure i'd call them underrated the past few years either.

About what I expected.

If Tech beat OU, we would be ranked but instead they lose by 20+

Beating LSU at home is about as good as beating OU or UT on the road. all the other teams are meh.

At that point Tech probably makes its way into the top 25... OU probably stays in but barely, so no spot open for us.

This. LSU showed plenty of weakness vs Auburn not that long ago. Not a huge surprise to see them get beat once they ran into a team that didn't suck.

While beating the other teams isn't bad, any top 15 team should be expected to beat that slate.

K state deserves a top 5 ranking. Florida should be 6. Florida will falter soon enough but experts will make the excuse of how amazing the SECOND slime conference is...

If you would have told me three years ago that we'd be 4-1 to start 2012 and Auburn would be 1-4, I would have kissed you.....on the mouth.

Outside of Oregon the entire top 10 should be SEC and Big 12. Maybe OSU. ND's wins...turns out they were against turd sandwich teams. We'll see when they play the better non B1G teams on their schedule soon.
