really? I figured it'd be like 21 points.
Offshore lines have already moved a full point our direction. That's unexpected.
Some people on here seem to be in denial of the fact ISU actually has a good team. You could argue the best defense in the Big 12 resides in Ames, IA.
Not surprised by the line at all. With the way K-State plays they rarely blow out reasonable teams. ISU took them to the wire last year in Manhattan and I know ISU has improved since then.
[QUOTE=Judoka;3093382]After. K-State is a top 10 team that has put up over 50 points in three games this year. I think we have a very good shot of beating them, but I figured the betting would favor them more than a touchdown.
From my experience many people automatically bet the underdog at home so maybe they have that factored in. Either that or our reputation as a giant killer is now hurting our spreads.(assuming you like to bet ON the Cyclones)
We are 3-2 against the spread so far this year (didn't cover WIU @ -35 or Tech at +1).
I'd bet on K-state if I'm using my head.
I fully expect to win this game. Not intimidated by purple kansas at all.
This line will be 10+ before kick off.
If we put a lot of pressure on Klein and make him hurry his horrible throwing motion I think we r in good shape.
Honestly, this kind of power game is a good matchup for ISU. The Cyclones are stout at LB and McDonough and Laing have done a decent job disrupting and getting into the backfield. Not to mention, the DBs are all good tacklers. Where ISU has problems is the short passing game...which is why they'll probably struggle with WVU. I think that they'll be able to hold KSU to around 24 and then the key will be if the O can put together enough drives to make it close or win. KSU's weakness on D is their DBs, but I don't know if ISU's passing attack will be good enough to make them pay.
One thing about the ISU offense last year, it was the game after OU, where JB took that big hit and he wasn't the same after that. He took some hits Saturday for sure, but not like what he got vs OU last year. I think that ISU will make a game of it.
In my season preview I have ISU winning this game. I had the Tech and TCU game switched up. I hope this win keeps on my track for 8-4 this season. ISU will be a top 15 team if we win.
FYI, there is no team on our schedule every year that I want to beat more than K-State. I have never liked them, they ran the score up on us when they had the chance and they are purple. Come on Cyclones, take them out!
I just don't see how we can compete with this...:jimlad:
