Gadget Play
First gadget play of the season?

Re: Gadget Play
Gadget plays and offensive production are typically linked. Can't really run gadget plays successfully if the play it builds off isn't successful.
Finally had a game with good offensive production so the gadget was a good call.

Re: Gadget Play
Right call at the right time. I was all over Mess and the Oline this week and they performed well I just hope it contiues, but I was a little to hard on them. I also hope JB continues to grow and get much better.

Re: Gadget Play
even the biggest Mess haters have to tip their hat to that call. Great job of taking advantage of an overly aggressive red zone D.

Re: Gadget Play
Great call. Hard to believe the same guy called plays vs Tech and vs TCU. Playcalling was great this week.

Re: Gadget Play
We could not run the ball very well in the first half even with the long pass plays, which concerns me. Seemed to improve in second half.

Re: Gadget Play
In watching the replay, I had 2 thoughts. First, brilliant to run it with Woody in the game as we always just run Woody up the middle. Second, glad nobody from TCU picked up the TE as Lenz didn't have many options if he was covered.

Re: Gadget Play
They wore down as the points went on the board. JB did a nice job of surveying the field versus SJ who just exited stage right. JB even stepped up into the pocket a couple of times.
So how much defensive backfield speed does KSU have? Obviously TCU Marsh fellow was outrun by Lenz. So do we throw at their slowest defender if they have one for deep passes and they play single coverage?
Klein appears to throw a low ball. Does Jake McDo stick his paws up more this game?
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -

I would would like to see a play with Neely, White and Johnson in the backfield together.

Re: Gadget Play
What was the play they ran with Horne in the backfield? Missed the front end of the play and was having DVR issues.
