I think OU definitely has the best defense we have faced all year. ISU being the second best thus far? Definitely a possibility. I think it will be a great game, and of course as a KSU fan, I cannot fathom KSU losing this game. Would I shocked if it was a good game? Of course not, Farmageddon has been that in recent history. This is best KSU team ISU is going to see over the past few years.
Bottom line for me is that ISU has to win this game in the same way that KSU won the OU game. KSU doesn't have to win this game the same way KSU won at OU. In a battle of playing sound football and limiting mistakes, I think KSU has a significant edge. I also think we are much more talented. ISU doesn't have a QB that would break KSU's two deep.

Re: ***Official KSU @ ISU Prediction Thread***
OU had their chances to win that game. 2 turnovers that directly cost them 14 points!
Coulda woulda shoulda been 17-26 OU. But it wasn't...

ISU 34 KSU 24. The Cyclones crank up the running game and SJ and James White both go for over 100 yards on the ground. Woody rumbles in from six yards out to ice the game late in the fourth quarter after Klein intercepts Klein deep in KSU territory.

I think it'll be close for 3 quarters but ISU will come out on top! 26 - 17 -

I refuse to like this because I don't like it, but I don't find too much to argue with in here. I don't know much about your back up QB so I can't really argue that one either. No doubt KSU limits mistakes and capitalizes on their opponents' mistakes. ISU needs to make something happen both on O and on D in this regard. The talent gap is probably the only thing I would quibble with. Snyder has done more with less for so long that I think some KU fans may overestimate the talent level. There may be a gap, but I don't think it is huge.

Also, granted I know your defense is better. I just love watching our backup qb run 2012 K-State vs University of Miami Football-2nd Half - YouTube 2012 K-State vs University of Miami Football-2nd Half - YouTube 2012 K-State vs University of Kansas Football - 2nd Half - YouTube -

Was that Sams' first career TD in the Miami game. I know ISU has gotten penalized for excessive celebration for a lot less.

Re: ***Official KSU @ ISU Prediction Thread***
Now I am going to quibble with the comment about our QB's not being able to crack your two deeps. The kid hasn't even attempted a pass this season. C'mon.

Re: ***Official KSU @ ISU Prediction Thread***
I predict an ISU win with us scoring on the last drive to stare the trend of losing at the end right in the eyes and breaking it. ISU 24-17. The final scoring drive will be set up by a pick by Reeves after McDonough hits Klein (again).

Hahaha, I know. I don't think he can be a worse passer than Klein was last year and he's a better runner. You are right though, he could be a horrible passer. We will find out over the next 3 years -
Re: ***Official KSU @ ISU Prediction Thread***
K-state has had 28 plays of 20+ yards so far this season of which 11 (40%) have gone for touchdowns. ISU's defense... has allowed 16 plays of 20+ yards so far this season of which 0 (0%) have gone for touchdowns.
36% of K-State's total points have resulted from plays of 20+ yards and of their 25 offensive touchdowns those 11 scores account for nearly 45% of their offensive touchdowns.
Limit K-State's big plays and you can severely limit their ability to put points on the board.

I think the cyclones will fight their tails off, but come up a few points short again. CAN we win? Absolutely. I dont think our team will be underestimating KSU. We have 3 years of close losses in a row to remind us.
