i agree, 71 would win it :spinny:
A) Don't turn ball over
B) Put points on the scoreboard
Prevent turnovers. That's the main reason he's in there now - Steele just plain can't tell whose team he's on.
As the others have stated:
1. Don't turn the ball over
2. Hit a receiver who is open (overthrown passes against Iowa vs. hitting Lentz in stride against TCU)
3. Make pre-snap adjustments as necessary
4. Throw the ball away instead of taking a sack
5. Make our defense be your biggest fans! Meaning give them plenty of time to rest.
Control the clock. I don't think we want K-State to have a time of possession advantage.
I still wonder how bad Steele would've over thrown Lenz on those 2 deep passes last week. The one play he did go in, running around like a chicken with his head cut off makes me hope Barnett has to Eff up pretty bad to put SJ back in.
Anyone know what the record is for career conference wins by an ISU qb?
We shouldn't even be talking about JB needing to keep his job throughout this season, the Steele Jantz project is over, he stays a backup and we live with what JB gives us. If he doesn't perform, then we talk about Sam, but if you bench a senior QB because of performance then leave him on the bench.
