I guess the Farmer's Almanac says it could be nasty.

I don't believe it'd be possible to play in December. KSU already has a game on "Championship Weekend". BCS selections are made the next day.

Unless I read it on Cyclone Fanatic.

Lets just move the game to KC. Live Arrowhead Nightmare #4.

Re: Severe Weather: Potential of moving game to Sunday or December
Anybody have an example of this ever happening anywhere? And I will just go ahead and say right now that the hurricane example doesn't count. Pretty sure I have seen that happen before, but that is a pretty sure thing and known several days in advance. I want to see an example of a BCS school reschedule a game because of a localized severe weather event.
I just don't see this happening.

They will postpone the game all day long on Saturday before they move it to Sunday. They would rather finish at 3am Sunday morning than play a down on Sunday afternoon.

A chance of rain, and everybody loses their f'ing minds.
They had a delay in Manhattan last year. They'll do it this year if they have to. Most reports have the severe weather being north and west of Ames, anyhow.
This game isn't getting moved to Sunday, or December, or whenthef*ckever.

I just don't see this happening. Yeah, exactly. Iowa weather is nearly impossible to predict. It wouldn't shock me if it barely rained on Saturday. The central Iowa media routinely over-hypes storms, and I would be borderline shocked if it wasn't the case this time. Every time too, the weenies on this board go absolutely berserk.

I just don't see this happening. I know last years Okie State - Tulsa game didn't kick off til after midnight last year because of severe storms... game ended at something like 3:30 in the morning...
I think you would be hard pressed to get a date change rather than just a delay for anything that should come up.

I ended up leaving back to Iowa on Sunday and never saw the game.
Moral of the story....it has been done before.
