I was there as well and it happened right in front of me. Just remember going nuts and doing heisman pose as that was going to be Seneca's signature play when he won. After that game we was talked about being in the lead to win it. Then the second half of the season came.

When the College Football Hall of Fame was in South Bend, we saw this play again on one of the kiosks there and they also had the voice of Pete Taylor. I think the HOF has moved to another city and have hoped they kept this play. I miss Pete. Would have loved to hear his reaction to the Okie State game.

I was watching the game on television at a friend's apartment, and I distinctly remember shouting as Seneca approached the near sideline "You're going the wrong way!"

The sad part? Iowa State was ranked 8th in the nation that week. *sigh*

I was there man! NW hillside, so not the best view, but I can remember the whole south side rising and hearing the roar cascade through the stadium. Definitely gives me chills thinking about it.
