ISU Ranked 25 in USA TODAY POLL. WHY?

just wondering if i might glean some insights from more knowledgable Cyclones fans. Don't understand why we are ranked. I know our defense is great, but offense is up in the air i think. If Barnett can lead us to another solid performance than i'll believe it. We are ranked 25, beating out Baylor, whose only loss is to WV, hanging tough 70-63. To me beating TCU in Fort Worth is not as impressive as hanging with WV like that. When we play Baylor will look better than them? I'd be thrilled if we did.

On the chance this is truly a state fan:
Baylor has beat nobody. SMU, Sam houstona State, and Louisiana Monroe (beating Arkansas isn't as imressive as it looked, and they lost to an awful Auburn team). If they beat TCU this weekend, they will be ranked.

Because Iowa State is 4-1 with wins over the best team in C-USA (convincingly won), a win on the road against a big 10 opponent, and beating the #15 team in the country on the road who had the longest winning streak. 2 road wins, 2 home wins, beating 1 ranked team> Baylor beating FCS Sam Houston state, ULM, and SMU. Id be sad if RGIII was gone too.
