Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
Steel posts are much stronger than wooden posts. I am in full agreement with this thread, OP!
They say that English surnames came from what you did with your life. I'm so glad my last name isn't Dickinson. -

Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
well I think Steele is more talented, I do not think he should be starting. On the other hand after JB missed a wide open guy 15 yards away by 10 yards, I would have throw SJ out there on the last possession. Not sure he would have done much better, but he wouldn't have drill the 4th down pass into the turf to prevent the TO.

Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
Anyone that claims that Jantz is a better overall quarterback, especially in our system, is crazy. Barnett does a few things better:
1. Run the read-option (which accounts for 99.8% of our plays)
2. Escaping Pressure
3. Making up his mind
4. Avoiding turnovers

3. Making up his mind If you mean picking out the receiver he's going to before the play gets going, then yes.
4. Avoiding turnovers So far, yes. My responses in bold. You also forget that one thing called passing that Jantz is better at. And don't give me the "yeah passing to the other team" response... Half of his int's are tipped by the receivers first, and he at least gives them a chance to make a play on the ball.

If for some reasons things reallly go to **** (which I don't think the will as we have lost to 2 of the top 3 teams in conference so far this year by a TOTAL OF 17 POINTS!) then my money is on seeing Slingin' Sammy Richardson before we see Steele "We May but Probably Don't Have a" Jantz.
“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.” -
Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
As much as I hesitate to say this because I know what Steele can do, history tells me that we probably aren't within a TD of KSU with him in there.

Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
Yeah yeah. I guess I'm sick of them both. I'm sick of either interceptions or incompletions. GIVE ME ACCURATE PASSING AND YOU CAN TAKE AWAY ALL THE RUNNING ABILITY WE WILL EVER HAVE

Re: ***OFFICIAL BRING BACK STEELE POST***
One guy is accurate, the other guy protects the ball. The ceiling is higher for Steele, the floor is higher for Barnett. On a defensive team that wants to run the ball, give me Barnett.

You can ask Ben Bruns this but I would say that him being chased was a lot of his own doing. I have said over and over again that he does not manage the pocket well. How many times has Barnett been on the run sideways this year? Not very many. Why? because he slides up through the middle instead of pulling a JUCO spin out move. Once you feel a little pressure and start moving back or sideways, it seldom get's better. Barnett is able to move up, giving his tackles better angle to cut off the pressure they may have let go. TH Oline didn't just all of a sudden get better over the past two weeks. This same thing happened last year. Barnett came in and then magically protection was better. It's not coincidence. Ben Bruns actually looked at the oline after the game and tweeted about it. He isn't a homer either. If they sucked, he would say it.
