Re: ISD: That Poor Man, Gene Chizik
Whatever you thought of McCarney as a coach was trumped by the fact that you knew that he really did care for ISU, its players and coaches (in all sports). The difference between him and Chizik is astronomical.

Dear Author,
Shut up *****.
Signed,
Everyone that was actually in Ames or around Ames when Chizik was in charge

If that's the case, it's a little easier to see why they don't get it. Regardless, they're wrong.

Eff whoever wrote that article. Chiz has plenty of talent. He just hired another poor set of coaches. They must be his golf buddies.
Looking forward to CFH magic for the next bball season, Georges style. -
Re: ISD: That Poor Man, Gene Chizik
Chizik is a southern boy who didn't do one damn thing to try in fit in at ISU. I will never hope anything but failure for that a-hole. I absolutely love Iowa State University. Just can't believe that article was written in the Iowa State Daily, Iowa State being the keyword. So if you have any loyalty for ISU, how can you not root against Geno.

The nugget about recruiting is just comical as well. Poor Gene! -

Who would deny a fanbase's right to hold a grudge? A bad person, that's who. Shame on that author.

Re: ISD: That Poor Man, Gene Chizik
Gene Chizik killed 5 hookers while in Ames. You heard it here first folks. P.S. I do not write for the Iowa State Faily.
And yes, that typo is on purpose.
“They're very, very hard to guard,” Notre Dame head coach Mike Brey said. “They're really good. And with Niang in the middle kind of wheeling and all those guys spreading you out, they're kind of a nightmare matchup. And they're men. They're really men.” -
Re: ISD: That Poor Man, Gene Chizik
I'm sure the editorial writer would think I'm a big meanie, but I also root against Penn State wrestling (well Penn State everything unless they are playing Iowa ) and Creighton basketball (although McDoormat also did us a huge favor). I do however support North Texas football.

And yes, that typo is on purpose. It has to be on purpose, because if that typo was on accident, you clearly would be writing for them.

Wish I had saved my favorite/horrid typo from the ISD during my ISU years (or right after, when I still worked @ISU Surplus.) Women's soccer was having trouble producing any offense, the headline read something like "More Offensive Hoes." So bad and at the same time funny, I clipped and hung at my workbench in the warehouse. Almost like someone put it in there to test the editors, "w" and "h" are nowhere near each other on a keyboard...
Oh, and I don't really care about Chiz and Auburn. Just like he didn't really care bout ISU... Can somebody re-post the "I is in your football offizes, stealing your millionz." picture?

They didn't have to have their hopes demolished and endure his 5-19 seasons.

“It’s beyond pride. It’s a restored trust. There’s a confidence again, a passion that teeters on swagger. More than anything, (Iowa State head coach Paul Rhoads) has restored the Iowa State “it” factor, the steadfast belief that it is great to be a Cyclone...the man’s enthusiasm is genuine to the core...” – columnist Sean Keeler, Des Moines Register
