It seems like this strategy makes it difficult for a #1 receiver to emerge and makes the WRs wildly inconsistent. Agree. Same with running backs. Other than situational stuff (it's always gonna be Woody on 3rd and short or goal line) I wish they would keep guys in the game long enough to get into a groove.

No, because of living in a halfway house while going to school--and being saddled with a pair of felony convictions at age 22. For what was a prank. A stupid one, but a prank nonetheless.

I hope he is able to keep his life turned around long term, not just while he is playing for us, but a "prank" that was not.

The only "robbing" someone was in the way the charges were filed. Perhaps you just paid attention to those, and not to what actually happened. Wouldn't surprise me that a lot of people did that, there is a definite tendency among the American public not to bother to look beyond the surface.
Besides, whether you Agree or not, my point is that it's a distraction, much more important and harder to focus on school, especially compared to football. And I'd say that easily explains his drop in on-field production.

To go in another direction, my brother feels like Gary bulked up too much and lost some of his shiftiness. Thus his lack of production might be explained apart from law enforcement.

Re: Albert Gary
Want stats?
2012 OVERALL FBS RANKINGS
PASSING YARDS
205.6 88th Overall RUSHING YARDS
137.0 88th Overall POINTS FOR
23.6 90th Overall POINTS AGAINST
19.6 27th Overall (Way to go defense!! CRACK THE TOP 25!)
Our O is bad and we really, really miss Darius Reynolds and Darius Darks with the obvious missing K.O. and Hicks on the line. Our QB's could still survive games being inaccurate with those players around them. I love Horne, Lenz, West and they do other things really well but we just can't throw the same type of balls that would be caught by guys last year who had bigger/better catching ranges/radius.
-
Re: Albert Gary
ISU WR stats (All 7 ISU WR)
92 catches for 1119 yards
Baylor WR stats (top 3 WR only)
106 catches for 1944 yards
-
Re: Albert Gary
It is hard for our WRs to put up big numbers when the QB only completes 15 passes a game. We play roughly 8 WRs and 3 Runningbacks...... you can see why having 3 receptions is considered having a "big game."

I am curious how much better were we last season? I dont remember us being world beaters.

Are we going to start down this road again? The fact of the matter is that many pranks could result in felony charges, but the county attorney usually doesn't do it. For example, knew a kid that burned down an abandoned house. By all rights it should have been a felony, but guess what, got some community service hours and probation.
I've know people to break in to schools, "borrow cars" and steal very expensive things, etc. etc. hardly any consequence.
Like I said, do we really want to go down this road?

Would probably explain the losing record.

Re: Albert Gary
To be honest with Bundrege getting the catches and making the plays he did last week, I would not be surprised if his touches lowered even more. I know there have been times he has been thrown to and just did not make a play....
