I have heard he is out for the season. My source is a decently high level donor, and while that doesn't mean anything because its not like he talks to coaches and players nightly he does have a hell of a lot more contacts in the program then most of us. Hope its not true but am assuming it is.
Except this situation does not involve "inside knowledge". It involves people physically seeing Jake Knott going about his way in Ames with a sling on his arm. Thats something that kind of hard to brush off as "not credible". You almost have to think this at the very least effects his status for Saturday.
Nobody has said they saw Knott with his arm in a sling. People have posted they they have heard other people say that they saw Knott with his arm in a sling.
And even if it was, there is a huge difference between "arm in a sling on Monday" and "out for season"
Rewatching the game, the play where he makes a tackle and then looks like he is hurting happens at 5:00 in the 3rd quarter. He doesn't come out and makes the tackle on the next play. I didn't keep watching to see if he favored it the rest of the game or not.
