Things I don't get.......
1. The opening onside kick
2. Why Horne dropped so many tonight.
3. The Barnett series right after Steele led us to a touchdown. Horrible time to do it.
4. Several times in the red zone, we don't have Ernst Brun in the game. As a huge, agile TE who catches the ball, he seems like an obvious guy in the red zone.
Still very pleased. That win is the first time I've been happy all day, and I'll take it.

Very good questions! I hope somebody can give some reasoning too! In order for me is 1, 3, 2, 4!

Re: Things I don't get.......
Agreed, thought there was some very questionable coaching this evening...onside kick against Baylor, trick plays against Baylor? It's the worst defense in the league, someone really has very little confidence in the O.
Barnett coming in??? Really, he's terrible. Jantz is clearly better, but is a head case.

Re: Things I don't get.......
Some bizarre coaching decisions tonight with the onside and Barnett series. Don't like what the onside communicated INITIALLY to the defense. And bringing Barnett in after Jantz had been performing well was mind-boggling, whether that was in the gameplan or not. The only camp I'm solidly in regarding QBs is the "stick with a freakin' QB camp." The game-to-game uncertainty is bad enough, but that in-game swap was ludicrous. Fortunately, it was nothing more than a series.
I would add to your list the play calling on the final set of downs leading up to Jantz's first pick. We had been running a lot of first down, but we went away from it and forced the issue in the RZ, which always makes me nervous. That series of events put us in an ominous situation towards the end of the first half. Fortunately, BU didn't take advantage and things worked out in our favor.

5. That 3rd and 1 where Steele fumbled---why did he even run the ball? Give that thing to Woody. Whether he makes it or not, another 30 seconds rolls off the clock. He won't fumble it. He has a good chance to make it, which keeps the clock grinding away.

Re: Things I don't get.......
I hate our offense when we get up 2 scores and instead of continuing to do what we're having success with, we got into ultra ridiculously conservative offense.
And the zone read on 3rd and 1 is getting old. Especially when we're struggling to run the ball.

5. Much ***, considering how much you post here.
I was a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all. -
Re: Things I don't get.......
-im glad we yanked horne, he needs to wake-up, nice to see our other WR step up, the more I see quenton bundrage the more i like him!
-im fine with the onside kick, good chance to catch them off guard, we are at home, get the crowd in it early, id rather be the aggressor!
-barnett ordeal had to be scripted from the onset, thank goodness it didn't result in a TO or 6 for baylor. agree stick with the qb we got so they can continue to gain momentum
-keep ernst in, he provides a great mismatch and has great hands!
overall great game tonight, steeles arm allows us to stretch and make the throws we need to make to make our O more dangerous, keep rolling steele!

Re: Things I don't get.......
Loved the inside kick call.
Barnett came in to start the second quarter. My guess is the plan was for him to play the whole quarter but Jantz was on fire and he fumbled a snap.
Our recievers are horrible.

The best cure for an anemic offense is a Bears defense.
That's what I always say.

Re: Things I don't get.......
Coach was going to throw a little crap at the wall in this one considering we were maybe going to play 3 different QBs.
You are guaranteed to score 35 or more on Baylor if you can just remember to show up at game time.

Jantz only had one pick, it was in the second half, and it was a good play call. WR open, Jantz just made a poor throw.
